Our Academics
At Little Red Riding Hood we believe that children need a good start to be successful in their future endeavors. Our curriculum encourages growth of an individual. Our children learn through hands on experiences and peer relationships.
We use our own custom made curriculum tailored towards the needs of each individual child. We take our time to tap into the key intelligences of every child and how we can bring out the best in them. Our curriculum aims to keep our students one grade level ahead and bring out their unique personalities.
We provide parents with opportunities to be involved in their child's learning through meetings and other events that encourage parents to become a part of our family.
Early Literacy
Starting Literacy skills from an early age is very important. At Little Red Riding Hood we start introducing literacy concepts as early as 6 months.
Science
Science encourage children to think outside of the box and also sparks curiosity. At Little Red Riding Hood we include science in all of our themes. Students are exposed to science concepts on a weekly basis.
Writing
Writing is considered apart of motor skills. At Little Red Riding Hood we work on these skills over time. We build on and strengthen motor skills to encourage writing skills. As children pass through our program their skills become enhanced and writing becomes natural.
Social Studies
Social Studies is introduced to our preschool students. At Little Red Riding Hood we encourage children to learn about their environment and different people that have positions of power.
Mathematics
Early Math skills are introduced in our youngest classrooms. At Little Red Riding Hood we introduce children to counting, 1-to-1 correspondence, all the way up to time and money. By the time our students are 4 years old they have started to add, subtract, complete patterns and so much more.
Physical Education
Physical Education is apart of our curriculum everyday. At Little Red Riding Hood we encourage movement for our students. From our youngest to our oldest we incorporate music and movement.
